Non Sonnetus Vampiris

Upon the gate Marie didst sit and wait

Impatient for the feel of John’s embrace

At midnight’s stroke he dared to show his face

Her suitor dressed up as a Vampire’s mate

A Costume Ball was where she met her fate

This girl long gone, no human left to trace

A creature of the night taketh her place

A seething mass of vengeful undead hate

This wooing man the brother of her Sire

So deep in love he did not make a scene

When she drank deep of his fresh gush-ed blood

Gorged full until his heart beat not, expired

She vanished quick into the night unseen

Pallid Marie awash in righteous blood
