Darkened Chariots of Weather gods

100_1107

across the hinterland

darkened chariots of weather gods

speed on south

following the mountain range

bypassing the coast

each day we have the promise of rain

10mm

5mm

3mm

each day it rains elsewhere

thirsty plants wilt in anticipation

as I photograph the passing of the storm

standing in a garden

dry as bone dust

waiting for the winds

to change

  1. Well we did get quite a bit of rain in those storms…I do believe the rainwater tank is full! They are fickle these storms. Love your photo and poem beautifully expresses this Queensland weather we’re having! 🙂
